Daniel Brühl (still) complaining about his lack of sex scenes in Rush.
Favorite moments of Daniel Brühl and Chris Hemsworth promoting Rush
"If someone was to seduce you in a foreign language, which language would you choose?"
The beauty of Rush (2013, dir. Ron Howard) isn’t merely its nostalgic ’70s cinematography or attention to Formula 1 racing, but its beautiful execution of the contrast between the two main characters, the sexy English playboy James Hunt (Chris Hemsworth) and the methodical Austrian drive Niki Lauda (Daniel Brühl). The film doesn’t aim to create a story of good guy vs. bad guy, or push someone the audience should root for. Instead, it attempts to show off the positive and negative qualities of the two leads, and with this formula, successfully delivers two wonderfully human characters.
"You’re not going to let my brother and me take all the glory, are you?"
“We had very good chemistry from the beginning. We didn’t need to create that fake rivalry between us. We didn’t need that. We preferred to be in a good relationship with each other, exchange information and work together on it.”
-Daniel Bruhl (x)
“Here’s the thing a wise man once said : ‘The opposite of love is not hate, its indifference.’ And Loki is not indifferent to Thor. He hates him. And in order to hate someone, you must still, therefore, love them. So I think there is, somewhere down the line, the possibility of redemption for him, because he is just in real need of self-esteem.”
